Justin played for HCYA for 8 years before going on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina.

His high School accomplishments include:
McDonald’s All-American Game Co-MVP (2014) after scoring 23 points on 11 of 14 shooting from the floor, Jack Daily Award for Sportsmanship (2014), Top Homeschool Player Award (2012, 2013, 2014), State champion '12, '13, and '14. National champion in 2012. Parade All-America and second-team USA Today All-America. Played in the McDonald's All-America Game and Jordan Brand Classic. Won the Maravich Award (2011), the Sullivan Award (2012) and the Jefferson Award (2013) as the top home schooled player in the country. Parade All-America and second-team USA Today All-America. Scored 13 points in gold medal game against Argentina
